Whyy? Change Nominated for South Yorkshire’s Prestigious Training Provider of the Year Award
Whyy? Change, a leading Rotherham-based training provider, is proud to announce its nomination for the prestigious Training Provider of the Year award at the South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2025, celebrating its fifth consecutive shortlisting. This marks a significant milestone, underscoring Whyy? Change’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality apprenticeships across South Yorkshire.
In 2024, Whyy? Change was Highly Commended, reflecting the organisation’s consistent dedication to excellence. Over the past two years, Whyy? Change has celebrated the success of its apprentices, with Kiya Cannon, Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprentice and Amy Webster, Level 3 HR Support Apprentice, winning their respective award categories. Kiya, an Administrator at Oliver Law Security, was recognised for her exceptional organisational skills and dedication, while Amy, a Recruitment Consultant at Oliver King Consulting, was honoured for her outstanding performance in professional services.
Continuing this tradition of excellence, Rebecca Beever, a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprentice at Straaltechniek UK Ltd, has been shortlisted in two highly competitive categories: Advanced Apprentice of the Year and Technology and Digital Apprentice of the Year. Rebecca has been instrumental in driving digital marketing initiatives, showcasing her innovative approach and technical expertise.
Rachel Ovens, Rebecca’s Marketing Tutor, shared her delight on receiving the news of her nomination:
“I was so pleased to hear about Rebecca’s nominations, it’s such a well-earned recognition of the impact she’s made at Straaltechniek during her apprenticeship. Since I began working with her, it’s been clear that she approaches her role with real drive and a thoughtful, strategic mindset. She’s taken every opportunity to apply her learning, from refining marketing spend to project managing the implementation of new CRM software. It’s been a privilege to support her journey, and I’m excited to see what she goes on to achieve next.”
In 2023, this award was also previously won by Matthew Trueman, Whyy? Change’s Head of Communications.
Emma Harrison, Managing Director of Whyy? Change, expressed her gratitude for the recognition:
“Being shortlisted for the Training Provider of the Year award for five consecutive years is a testament to the consistent hard work and dedication of our team in supporting and developing our apprentices. We are committed to providing our apprentices with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers, and this nomination reinforces our position as a leading apprenticeship provider in South Yorkshire.”
The South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2025 will be held on the 8th May 2025 in Sheffield, at Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United Football Club.
