The new South Yorkshire Innovation Programme (SYIP) has been officially launched to help regional organisations to innovate, accelerate, and grow.
South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard spoke in November at the prestigious launch event and welcomed the official roll out of SYIP, which will offer high quality, tailored support to businesses, charities and social enterprises.
This ambitious initiative is a powerful collaboration between Sheffield Hallam University (as the lead partner), the University of Sheffield, and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, with £3 million in backing from The South Yorkshire Mayoral Authority (SYMCA). Co-designed with the region’s four Local Authorities, SYIP is poised to transform how businesses in the area engage with and benefit from innovation.
Here at Sheffield Hallam University we are recruiting for two Specialist Innovation Advisers, these roles will place you right at the core of SYIP, serving as the key connector between the programme and its intended beneficiaries. You’ll work across both universities and all four South Yorkshire Local Authorities to ignite engagement and inspire collaboration.
You will have significant experience of leading an innovation service and contributing to the strategic development of its service alongside knowledge and experience of how innovation can support a region’s social and economic development. You will have led the development and delivery of events, training and projects alongside managing budgets and writing, reviewing and disseminating policies or standards.
