As the economy begins its recovery from the impacts of the past 12 months, this session will focus on the skills needs of businesses across the region for the recovery and beyond.
In addition to showcasing the latest results of the SCR Economic Survey, this interactive session will see the launch of new research into how well prepared from a skills perspective businesses are for the recovery, the opportunities to strengthen links between businesses and education and the policy measures that will best support the development of the current and future workforce across the region.

The results of the Quarterly Economic Survey will be presented by Chris Hobson, Director of Policy and External Affairs at East Midlands Chamber, with commentary from Andy Gates, Assistant Director, Sheffield City Region LEP.
Attendees will gain an understanding of how the regional economy is performing as the reopening continues along with being able to participate in a discussion on how businesses across the area can access the skills they need to succeed.
