Join Women in Business for their annual International Women’s Day gathering, this year at Holiday Inn Barnsley.
We are pleased to once again be joining millions of other women, and men, world-wide celebrating the massive contribution that women make to our lives, in business, in the community and in family – a day to reflect, share and be inspired by peoples’ personal journeys – the achievements, the challenges and the funny both professionally and personally.
This year’s theme is #PressforProgress marking the 100th year anniversary that women – only certain women though – got the vote, and as you all know we are apolitical, but it is interesting to reflect whether we would indeed have had the opportunities we all have should this have not been achieved.
We have some great speakers lined up, who will be exploring how work and family blend and how we might in the future look to attract and retain talent in a workplace that is reflective of a more diverse workforce. This will include some personal sessions as part of our ‘sofa chats’, with mothers and their children, exploring the life of a working mum from both sides, inspired by the amazing Listening Project, developed by the BBC and National archives.

Jo Davison, Journalist and Jackie Freeborn, Chair of Women in Business

Simon Biltcliffe, CEO of Webmart
