The A2 Certificate of Competency (A2CofC) is the minimum requirement of qualification for operators to operate drones up to 2kg and flown. In the Open Category A2 in category an operator will be able to:

The A2 subcategory will allow you to fly closer to people if you hold an A2CofC in the UK and are flying a C2 class aircraft. You’ll be able to fly down to 30m of uninvolved people, or down to 5m if the aircraft has been switched to a low-speed mode.

We would recommend as the minimum requirement for our clients the A2CofC training to enable them to complete effective operations and inspections.

Who Should Attend the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate Course?

This is a more advanced course and is suitable for people or business who require more specific data and more flexibility who require more specific data and more flexibility in operations if you are wanting to do a 3D modelling, LiDAR this allows more flexible operations and heavier drones that can adapt to different cameras and sensors.

The modules below are what make up the mandatory teaching to achieve the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) GVC Qualification.

This will enable a student to achieve the required qualification to be registered with the CAA as a qualified drone operator.
