Join us on the 16th June to find out how data visualisation methods can be used in sport, health and wellbeing.
About this event
Data can be of huge value to a business, and a key factor in extracting that value is how the data can be visualised to create understanding and impact.
Join us at our breakfast event on 16th June to hear Simon Choppin and David Barrett share their knowledge in the use of data visualisation tools applied to contract research and consultancy projects in sport, health and wellbeing.
Simon and David are from the Sports Engineering and Sports Industries research groups respectively. They have expertise using Microsoft Power BI, Tableaux, Excel, and GiS in working with clients to help manage, analyse, and present their data.
This event will provide an opportunity to network with other businesses in your sector, see the state-of-the-art facilities at our Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, and explore how collaborating with the university can help you drive growth in your business.
You’ll also find out more about the potential funding opportunities available to SMEs in and around the Sheffield City Region to support innovative idea development, including the Sheffield Innovation Programme and Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme.
Provisional programme:
How data visualisation methods are applied to sport, health and wellbeing.
How SERG and AWRC work with the region’s SMEs to drive business growth through evaluation, testing, and validation of new ideas.
Who should attend?
This event should be primarily of interest to SMEs in and around the Sheffield City Region that work in sport, wellbeing and health sectors. However, SMEs from other sectors are of course welcome, given that data visualisation has a wide application.
