Since March 2020 all our lives have been impacted significantly by COVID 19 and subsequent actions taken to tackle the virus. The government now faces the challenge of managing the nation’s health and renewing the economy.

It is clear that we will encounter changes to the way we work, what we do and the way we do it. As we go about meeting the challenges head on, we will undoubtedly need help and we will be asking ourselves the fundamental questions:

This event will give you an insight on what is happening locally and a solution based approached responding to the needs of employers and supporting the renewal of the economy.

Apprenticeships, Traineeships, investment in the National Careers Service, and a new ‘Kickstart Scheme’ are the crucial elements of a new ‘Plan for Jobs’ announced by the Chancellor, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP.

This webinar will provide you with an overview of how the Chambers are supporting local employers so that they have a skilled workforce for the future that will be critical to reviving our economy, with a sharp focus on the Skills Agenda.

You will hear first-hand from Ian Higginbottom of the Education & Skills Funding Agency on national skills initiatives including changes in Apprenticeships, Traineeships, investment in the National Careers Service, and details on the new ‘Kickstart Scheme’.
