TopicUK was launched in April 2013 by Gill Laidler and Rob Blackwell, with the aim of supporting small to medium businesses in Wakefield and District. Since that time, we have been overwhelmed with support from the local business community, which has enabled the magazine to grow substantially. In April 2015, a second edition was launched, covering Kirklees and Calderdale and at the same time, we incorporated Close Up for Business, the official magazine of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. A third edition of TopicUK was launched in Barnsley and South Yorkshire in November the same year, followed by Soho London in February 2016. A Fifth edition will launch in summer covering Leeds.
