Chamber celebrates Christmas with festive events
Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber are giving local businesses a variety of opportunities to celebrate the beginning of the festive season after announcing plans to host a series of events taking place throughout December.
On 1st December, the Chamber will host its annual Christmas dinner, one of the largest events of its busy social calendar, and this year’s event has been supported by NPS Barnsley and MKB Solicitors LLP.
During the evening, guests will be treated to a complimentary drinks reception and a traditional three course Christmas dinner, whilst being entertained by 2002 ITV Comedy talent show winner of “Stand Up Britain”, Lea Roberts, followed by a chance to dance the night away.
A week later, on 8th December, the Chamber’s Women in Business Group, are hosting a Christmas lunch at the wonderful Whitley Hall Hotel. Limited places are available.
To complete the Chamber’s festive line-up of events, both members and non-members are being invited to meet staff and share a mince pie and coffee with members of staff and Chamber President Lisa Pogson. Taking place on Tuesday, 12th December between 10am and 12 noon, the event is free of charge.
The holidays are coming – Russell Richardson & Sons, who have kindly sponsored this event, have “decked the trucks” for Christmas and will be bringing one along to provide free document shredding for attendees.
Andrew Denniff, Chief Executive of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber said:
“Christmas is a time to come together, and to look back over the past twelve months and celebrate the successes of the year. Our seasonal social events programme offers a chance for both Chamber members and non-members alike to make new business contacts, catch up with friends and come together in a relaxed environment to celebrate Christmas in style.
“Our annual Christmas dinner is always one of the highlights of the Chamber’s social calendar and with entertainment provided by Lea Roberts, I’m sure it will be evening which will bring a great start to the Christmas period.”
