Meet the Buyer event helps lay foundations for growth

Representatives from more than 200 businesses came together at Barnsley Metrodome to learn more about the wealth of opportunities available to connect and collaborate with businesses in the construction sector.

Sponsored by Equans, Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber’s Construction Expo provided opportunities for local businesses to find out more about the current major regeneration and infrastructure projects being delivered across the region and how they can contribute to their success.

During the event, delegates heard from Equans, who discussed the importance of social value in the construction sector and how businesses look to make a positive contribution within the areas they operate in by collaborating with local businesses, nurturing apprentices and creating sustainable solutions, which all have a positive impact upon the local community.

The event is one of a number of events planned to take place throughout 2023 to help businesses across the region work together. Future events include South Yorkshire Skills Celebration Event, which takes place at Magna on 23^rd March, and its popular Chamber Means Business event will return on 21^st September.

Our Meet the Buyer events provide opportunities for businesses across the region to strengthen their networks, enhance supply chains and give companies the option to find out more about how they can play their part in building a stronger South Yorkshire.”
