Chamber President Backs Clean Energy Targets but Highlights Key Challenges
Statement from Matt Travis, Chamber President, on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s “Plan for Change”
“The clean energy target is a key driver for net zero and helping to reduce the impacts of climate change, which we have seen recently impacting the UK and Europe.
These are targets and principles which business clearly supports.
However, they are not without their own challenges, from upgrading the national grid to allow connections of renewable projects to addressing the current planning challenges associated with renewable applications.”
