HCAT Seeking Individuals

HCAT is a Cross Phase Multi Academy Trust located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and our schools include –

• Hoyland Common Primary School
• Ward Green Primary School
• Horizon Community College
• Worsbrough Common Primary School
• Mapplewell Primary School
• Milefield Primary School

The trust was established to continue and share the philosophy of collaboration developed by Hoyland Common Primary School and Tykes Teaching Alliance.

At HCAT, we firmly believe in school autonomy; member schools’ benefit from maintaining their own identity with access to shared best practice across a range of schools. This allows schools to focus on the key priorities of teaching and learning whilst the trust can lead on the financial and resource management and provide high quality school improvement.

The Trust Board and Governing Bodies in our School plays an important role in ensuring that continued progress is made to move our schools forward.

We are looking for individuals to either sit on our Board of Trustees, or on our individual schools governing bodies who would be able to demonstrate a commitment for ensuring that every child in our Trust meets or exceeds their full potential.

We are particularly looking for individuals with the following skills and experience to enhance and strengthen our boards:

• Community Development
• Fundraising and Bid Writing
• Health and Safety in the Workplace
• Safeguarding and GDPR
• IT and Logistics
• Legal and Personnel
• Finance and Budget Planning

If you possess any of the above skills, committed to seeing young people succeed academically and socially and can commit to no more than six hours per month, we would like to hear from you.
