High-profile guests in attendance included Alexander Calder and representatives of NatWest and Lloyds bank, Handelsbanken, Prestige Finance and Bhayani Law. All stakeholders from Brearley & Co were present too.

Founded in 1984 by Giles Brearley, the firm has grown significantly and now specialises in services including tax, self-assessment tax returns, financial advice, payroll, debt recovery, annual accounts and VAT services, among others.

The team shared plans on how they are set to bring further opportunities for clients and employees in Yorkshire, with office acquisitions bringing potential for recruitment.

Mark Smallman, Managing Director said: “Hosting this networking event, along with many others throughout the year, is always a highlight for us. Each year, the event grows bigger and better, with a wonderful mix of familiar faces and new connections.

“These gatherings are invaluable for businesses, fostering relationships and creating opportunities that drive our local economy forward. We are delighted to be part of such a vibrant community and look forward to many more successful events.”

Their commitment to giving back to the community extends beyond their workforce. The accountancy firm frequently supports for local charities including Rotherham Hospice, Rotherham Rise and Bluebell Wood, as well as sponsoring Dinnington Town FC.
