Optimo Care Group celebrates delivering 300% growth with a divisional rebrand

Barnsley based Chamber member Optimo Care Group, founded in 2010 by serial care entrepreneurs Mark Hales and Richard Walker, recently celebrated the delivery of mid term growth plans with a full relaunch of their growing homecare division.

Richard Walker, CEO and Co-Founder, “It’s been a rollercoaster ride over the last two years. We set some ambitious medium term goals in early 2022 and I am pleased to report that with the support and expertise within our team, these plans have been delivered.”

He continued, ”We split the Group into two clear divisions, Homecare and Specialist Supported Living. We set ambition for both, put together a new Board of Directors and focussed on how we would evolve Optimo. Fast forward 2.5 years and we have tripled our revenues to £30m and acquired six substantial care businesses across the North West, Yorkshire and the South East.  Both divisions have also delivered strong organic growth with wins in competitive tendering.”

In addition, in early 2024 the Board at Optimo agreed a proposal to rebrand and relaunch the homecare division as Choices Homecare.

“The time was right to refocus our homecare team. Over the years we had built up a network of 12 locations within our domiciliary care division across the North West and Yorkshire. We had multiple trading names and services, both long standing services and newer acquisitions that had joined the Optimo family. We wanted to create a single identity and renew our purpose to be a service to be proud of. In June 2024 we completed the rebrand and we are now looking good for another 25 years!”
