Gulliver’s Valley will still offer festive cheer!

Gulliver’s Valley will be open over Christmas despite three tier 3 restrictions being introduced this week.

The theme park has had to adapt to the news rules so made changes to its original festive plans but will still be open outdoors and there will be a sprinkling of Christmas spirit for all the family enjoy!

Julie Dalton, managing director of Gulliver’s Valley, said: “We are really pleased to be able to open Gulliver’s Valley over Christmas as we know how much families still want to celebrate the festivities and enjoy making some special memories this year. It’s not quite what we had originally planned but we’ve done what we have throughout this pandemic – adapted accordingly and moved quickly so we can still offer our guests some Christmas cheer, in a safe and welcoming environment.

“We are unable to open our indoor areas but we will have our outdoor attractions available, in fact we are opening more rides that we were going to. In addition, we will have a good sprinkling of Christmas spirit in there with our winter wonderland, elf workshop and appearances from Santa. We are all set to provide as magical a time as we can for the next few weekends in the run up to Christmas as well as the 21, 22 and 23 December and tickets are still available.

“This has been vital to us as a business not just to be able to offer our wonderful customers some safe, family fun but also for our Gulliver’s team who have worked so hard preparing for our first Christmas. When we came to South Yorkshire, providing jobs and contributing to the local economy was always a key driver for us, and despite the challenges we have faced, this has not changed and it has remained a real priority.

“We are proud of the efforts our team has put in during this time and are all looking forward to building on that in 2021.”

Guests who have already purchased the Christmas Smasher Package will still be able to use their tickets but other festive experiences including short breaks are no longer available.

Added Julie: “For those customers who already have a booking for this Christmas that isn’t a Smasher Package we will be in touch with information on what options are available. They will have full flexibility to transfer or cancel their booking. Please be reassured that we are working our way through contacting a number of people and we will reach everyone as soon as possible.

“Although we did expect our first Christmas event at Gulliver’s Valley to look a little different, we are still determined to deliver safe, fun and festive days out, especially after such a challenging year and we would like to thank all our customers for their patience. We hope people will still join us in December.”

Tickets are still available for selected dates in December, please visit www.gulliversvalleyresort.co.uk/christmas-at-gullivers for more information or to book.
