Multi-academy, Inspire Trust, invites local parents, alumni, residents, businesses, and the civic community to attend their inaugural “Be Inspired” events series at Thomas Rotherham College.
Inspire Trust have launched a series of exclusive dinner events throughout March and April, to share the Trust’s story, vision for the region’s future, and how collaboration is key to success.
Inspire Trust are committed to ensuring that their schools and the college are the very best that they can be for the children and young people of their community. They are passionate that collaboration is key and hope to inspire guests to support their valuable work.
The event series is part of the Trust’s commitment to building relationships with members of their local community, including the business and civic communities, and providing them opportunities to engage in broader conversations.
Each evening will be hosted by the Trust’s CEO Mr David Naisbitt. Guests will be welcomed by a drinks reception in The Foundation Room at Thomas Rotherham College, sponsored by Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, to network with guests and staff from the Trust. They will then hear from a leading regional figure, sharing their perspective on how the region can recover, grow, and prosper in the emerging post-covid landscape, and the role community collaboration will play. Q&A for the speaker and Trust will be led by David. Followed by a three-course sit down dinner served by local caterers.
The venue will provide a wonderful opportunity to see inside the historic walls of the stunning college building, which was built in 1876 as a training college for ministers of the Independent church, before the Grammar School moved into the building in 1890.
During the second event, on the 27th April, the guest speaker will be Lt Col RA (Mac) McPherson MBE, Incoming High Sheriff, South Yorkshire. He will share his journey to becoming High Sheriff, and how he sees the South Yorkshire community collaborating, as he embarks upon year as High Sherriff.
Tickets are £40 per person, per event + booking fee.
David Naisbitt, CEO at Inspire Trust commented:
“Inspire Trust’s schools and college have long been at the forefront of education excellence and have changed the lives of thousands of young people across the region. This is, in part, a consequence of our commitment to continually innovate, improve and deliver more for our pupils and wider community. That’s what this event series is all about, sharing that journey, looking to the future, and building strong relationships, to go far, together. I’m delighted we are hosting the dinners and look forward to welcoming guests”.
