We are certainly living in uncertain times! Just a few months ago, who would have ever thought the whole world would be experiencing the challenges we currently face. But already we have started to accept the fact that the future way of working and living will look very different from that to which we have become accustomed.
As we begin to look at moving down to the next levels of Covid-19 alertness scales towards a phased transitions to new ways of working, we need to maintain a high degree of positivity, optimism and an open mind if we are not only going to ‘get through this’, but actually thrive and reach new levels of engagement and performance in both our personal and work lives in the future. The current circumstance must be seen as an opportunity for growth and a better way!
If we know and understand our own wellbeing needs a little better, if nothing else, we can more certain of our response to the outside world that my hold uncertainty for us. We can modify our perception of it as required and seek opportunities to reach new levels of engagement, performance and wellbeing.

Another type of natural bodily rhythms are ‘ultradian’ rhythms’ that happen more than once – in fact we naturally ebb and flow between rhythm peaks and troughs every 90 – 120 minutes.
Since it has been shown that taking advantage of this natural rhythm has profound physical and mental health benefits, it is a better idea to do what your brain is asking you to do – relax and recharge the batteries on a frequent basis throughout the day as means to improve productivity and engagement.
