Take to the skies for the first Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) Wing Walk

Calling all adrenalin junkies! The ultimate experience take to the skies for a spot of daredevil wing walking!
We will be holding our first wing walk event on Saturday 7th September 2019 at Wickenby Aerodrome in Lincolnshire.

Participants are provided with a comprehensive ground and safety briefing before they are strapped into a secure five point harness and take off on their ten minute experience, including zooms and climbs at speeds up to 130mph and passes near to friends and family on the ground below.

There is a £50 registration fee for the event and participants are also asked to raise at least an additional £600 for SRSB.

SRSB provides opportunity, support, friendship and services to over 3,600 people with sight loss and/or hearing impairment , helping them to achieve whatever they wish to do and whatever they aspire to be. Our youngest client is 3 months old and our oldest a mature 104!

Wing walkers must be no heavier than 13st 5lbs and aged between 18 and 65.

Participants between the ages of 65 and 75 need a GP’s declaration of good health before being allowed to take part.
