There has never been a more important time for industry and education to work hand-in-hand to create and develop the workforce of the future.
It is our pleasure to invite you to the RNN Group’s Dearne Valley Campus to see how local FE Colleges, the RNN Group and Barnsley College, are helping the local labor force build foundations and develop futures across the construction sector.
The opening keynote speech by Ted Wetton will outline the Carillion insolvency and provide an update on insolvency proceedings including dealing with retention of title. Ted is Managing Director of Gibson Booth Business Solutions & Insolvency, a licenced Insolvency Practitioner and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience. He has dealt with a large number of Construction insolvencies.
Building Foundations will outline the work done in our colleges to prepare students for a career in Construction and how you as an employer can capitalize on this.
Developing Futures will detail apprenticeship progression pathways to develop your highly skilled workforce of the future, including local HE/Degree plans. This focus area will give you direct access to the local talent pools being created in the following trades:
Plastering, Brickwork, Joinery, Tiling, Painting & Decorating
Guest will be provided with the opportunity to see training being carried out, find out about the opportunities to recruit school and college talent, and also the surrounding talent not currently engaged in education/training.
From 14:00 to 16:30 interviews slots can be booked via the RNN Training Employer Team to meet students/candidates interested in work experience and/or Apprenticeship employment. Please contact Nick Ward, Business Development Advisor, Tel: 07814 908 022, E: [email protected] if you wish to take part.
