With another Christmas fast approaching, the number of convictions for drink driving and other road traffic related offences is set to increase. Currently over 50,000 people a year are convicted of drink drive related offences, with another 3,000 killed or injured as a direct consequence.

Road policing teams will shortly commence their annual clampdown on road users using high visibility patrols and dedicated stop and search sites across South Yorkshire.
